Okonomiyaki
Recipe for One:
Ingredients:
1 large boneless chicken breast
1/2 cup flour
1 cup vegetables, anything chopped
•1/4 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup of water
1 egg
•1 tablespoon stir fry oil
Spices to add :ground ginger, celery salt, nutmeg, and dried sweet basil
Seasoning: soy sauce
In a large bowl, mix flour, water and egg. Stir until batter is smooth. dice
onion and chop vegetables. Add onion to batter. Stir. Add in a dash of spices.
Put oil into pan. Place pan on stove on high heat. Cut chicken into thin, one
inch strips. Place chicken into pan and cook until meat is well done. Set aside.
Add a little more oil, less than a tablespoon to coat the bottom of the pan.
Pour batter mixture into pan. Using chopsticks, place cooked chicken strips and
vegetables to the okonomiyaki, making sure that the ingredients are placed in
the batter firmly. Flip the okonomiyaki when the underside is a light golden
brown. Cook the other side until done. Serve when hot. Divide it into slices.
Sprinkle to taste with soy sauce.

Our Comments: It tastes pretty good, dull if you don't add soy sauce. With soy
sauce, it is very good
